Description
It's FINALLY done! This was an extremely enjoyable piece to work on, even if it did take forever.
My inspiration for this piece was Punjabi music. I really like the way the artists mix traditional Indian musical elements with contemporary beats (Punjabi music is meant to be danced to). This piece embodies traditional Indian visual elements with a slight urban feel. I looked at Hindu paintings, and incorporated the depth of field, architecture, and figure. The figure is my modern interpretation of the Hindu goddess Saraswati Devi (the goddess of speech, dancing, music, and poetry).
When designing this I imagined the TRiK with my skin as an entire piece. The true focal point is where the consumer interacts with the product (the mp3 player dock). I incorporated this by depicting my figure gesturing toward the dock, as if she is about to embrace it. I also placed my light source where the mp3 player sits, so it would look like it was glowing.
I really enjoyed making a skin, and I think perhaps I will do some more
I want to thank everyone for the lovely comments, and the judges for choosing this piece for the semi finals.

Such a lovely design. Really good and moody.
